Lightboxes: How to Search, Browse, Collect and Order Images

Lightboxes are albums that you can create, save, retrieve and order for commercial or non-commercial use and publication, in all types of print and digital media. You can save and download unlimited lightboxes to your computer, giving you the flexibility to manage different collections of images and the ability to continue where you left with any lightbox you saved during a previous visit.

Creating a Lightbox

Search our online database of 100,000+ images and click "Add To Lightbox" either from the search results screen or from the [Image Details page] to add photos to your lightbox.

You can edit, save or restore a previous lightbox by clicking on the Lightbox tab on the menu bar.

Saving a Lightbox

When you are ready to save the contents of your lightbox, click "Save Lightbox" to download a .csv file to your computer with your lightbox details.

The .csv file can be used to retrieve and update a lightbox or to order the image files for potential use in your project.

Retrieving a previously created Lightbox

To restore a previous session and continue working on a previously created lightbox, click on the lightbox tab on the menu bar and enter your "Lightbox ID" from your .csv file.

Once your session has been restored, you can continue editing the contents of your lightbox and save your newly updated lightbox. All saved Lightboxes will be archived for 2 years from the date they were last saved.

Placing and Receiving your Lightbox Order

Once you have finalized your lightbox and reviewed the .csv file for accuracy, email "ans_vireo@drexel.edu" to request a quote and attach the requested lightbox .csv file to your email.

Licnesing Info placeholder

Orders with completed licensing/price quote request details will receive a quote along with link to download the images for possible use in the project.

When an image use is confirmed for your project, you will need to report the use of each image to vireo@ansp.org in order to receive an invoice granting you license to use the image.
